Elopement,

noun:

An act or instance of following your heart, as to be married to the one you love minus any background noise by honouring your relationship in a unique and joyful way that’s truly you.

You deserve to be yourselves!

Imagine marrying your best friend in an intimate ceremony and spending the day together doing whatever makes you happy. Dreamy, right? Rules are meant to be broken and love is more important than social convention.

The best elopement photography will radiate love, connection and intimacy. It should capture the essence of who you are so that you can be taken right back to that very special moment you said yes to each other.

HOW TO ELOPE

01.

Fall in love and honour that love by choosing to do exactly what’s right for you on the day you marry each other. Give yourself permission to dream. You shouldn’t have to compromise on quality just because you’re eloping, quite the opposite.

Falling. You see? We don’t say “rising into love”. There is in it, the idea of the fall.

Taking this ghastly risk is the condition of there being life. All life is an act of faith. Love is an act of surrender to another person. Total abandonment.

I GIVE MYSELF TO YOU. TAKE ME.

HOW TO ELOPE

02.

Choose where and when. Laid back Town Hall elopement wedding, romantic ceremony by the sea or adventurous elopement in the Scottish highlands. Follow your heart!

03.

Choose with who. Intimate ceremony of two or micro wedding with a handful of guests? The choice is yours.

04.

Choose a photographer. I believe that every couple deserves a unique experience to celebrate their love so I create photos that capture you and your love story in a truthful, effortless way because your love story matters and it deserves to stand the test of time.

INSIDER TIP

BEST PLACES TO ELOPE

By The Sea.

Having a romantic coastal elopement is bound to be magical. If you time it right you should be able to get some gorgeously soft light for your photos and who wouldn’t love having a quick dip in the sea on their wedding day?

Marylebone Town Hall.

Or any other Town Hall, of course, but The Old Marylebone Town Hall is a beautifully maintained historic building surrounded by cute little mews and great photography spots.

Tying the knot at your local Town Hall is a chance to have a super chic elopement wedding and treat yourselves (and your guests if you’re having any) to some meaningful luxury.

Destination Elopement.

Having a small guest list means that you can be more flexible so don’t rule out a destination wedding.

Whether it’s to go on a new adventure or to return to one of your favourite places, a destination elopement can be a wonderful and immersive experience.

RECOMMENDED SUPPLIERS

A small celebration means you’ll be able to create unforgettable memories and focus on what matters most to you. This is why it’s even more important to surround yourself with experienced suppliers who know you and understand you.

Every couple I work with gets access to my little black book of suppliers, but here are my top three recommendations:

TOP 3 REASONS TO ELOPE

Stay true to yourselves.

Getting married should never be about ticking all the boxes, you deserve to treat yourselves to an amazing experience that celebrates who you are.

Meaningful luxury.

Elopements are an opportunity to cut costs and stretch your budget further, giving you the opportunity to treat yourselves to some meaningful luxury and spend a bit more on the things that actually matter to you.

Wedding Planning Stress.

With fewer guests and less to organise you might actually find the planning process more enjoyable and less stressful which is always a good thing in my book!

Guestlist Troubles.

Choosing to have a smaller guest list means that you’ll be able to spend more quality time with those people who really matter to you and share genuine moments on of the most meaningful days of your life.

Immersive Experience.

Consider finding a venue with accommodation so that you can all stay together and spend a few days exploring and making memories.
