I’m Manon, a destination couples & wedding photographer living on my sailboat in the Mediterranean. I create intimate, natural photos for couples who follow their hearts across Spain, France, Italy, England, Brighton, Valencia, and beyond.
I choose to live a slow life — a privilege I don’t take for granted. This means my availability is limited: I focus on couple photoshoots and take only a handful of weddings each year.
I travel to England a few times annually, and that’s when I open dates for couple photoshoots in Brighton, Seven Sisters, and the Sussex area. If you have a specific date in mind, please get in touch — we might be able to make it work.

I’m an adventurous photographer living on a sailboat in the Mediterranean, creating intimate, natural photos for couples who follow their hearts. I offer couple photoshoots across Spain, France, Italy, England, Brighton, Valencia, and beyond.
Having lived in Brighton for twelve years, I’ve spent a lot of time exploring the iconic cliffs of Seven Sisters — it’s one of my favourite places! I know the most beautiful viewpoints, hidden paths, and quiet spots where you can truly relax in front of the camera.
My photography is inspired by connection, because I believe that is the answer to life, the universe and everything (yes, I’m a big fan of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy).
My job as a photographer is simple: to bear witness and to capture fleeting moments in time so that they’re never lost.

For your couple session at Seven Sisters in Sussex, we’ll most likely head to Cuckmere Haven — a truly special spot with endless creative possibilities. The gentle flow of the river, the birdsong carried on the breeze, and the rhythmic crash of the sea all come together to create a setting that feels both grounding and magical.
We’ll slow down, draw inspiration from mindfulness, and fully embrace the present moment. As the stress of daily life fades away, you’ll find yourselves simply enjoying each other’s company — while I capture natural, heartfelt photos that reflect your connection.
Cuckmere Haven is often quieter than other parts of Seven Sisters, offering a beautiful variety of colours, textures, and light to play with. From sweeping cliff views to soft riverside scenes, it’s the perfect backdrop for photographs you’ll treasure.

HOW DOES A COUPLE PHOTOSHOOT WORK?
What does an Brighton couple session usually look like?
The essential couple session lasts 90 minutes: half an hour for a chat over coffee/drinks and one hour for taking photos.
The pre-session chat is important to create an environment where you’re comfortable rather than have a complete stranger point cameras at you the minute you meet which can be quite stressful and traumatic.
We’ll then spend an hour walking around and taking photos.
Although I won’t be “posing” you as such, I’ll give you directions to help you relax and make the most of the background + available light. All you have to do is focus on each other.
What does a couple session at Seven Sisters usually look like?
For the couple session at Seven Sisters we’ll head to Cuckmere Haven. We’ll usually meet at the car park and walk towards the sea. The session will last around 2.5/3hs depending on the weather, the light and how long it takes us to walk.
Cuckmere Haven offers different backdrops which will give your photos more variety. Having more time for our session also means we’ll be able to get more creative. Your photos will often be more fun, natural and in-the-moment.
Although I won’t be “posing” you as such, I’ll give you directions to help you relax and make the most of the background + available light. All you have to do is focus on each other.
Do you photograph LGBTQ+ couples?
Yes, 100 times yes! All couples are welcome!
Feminist, equality and anti-racism are important values for me. I’m not perfect but I aim to be as inclusive as possible in all areas of my business and I work hard to unravel all my biases.
How many photos will we get?
Brighton couple session: you’ll get a minimum of 40 edited photos. You’ll also be able to purchase more straight from your gallery if there are other photos you love.
Seven Sisters couple session: you’ll get a minimum of 100 edited photos. There might also be additional photos available for you to purchase from your gallery depending on how our session goes (the light, the weather, etc).
Can we order prints, frames or albums?
Absolutely! Nothing makes me happier than seeing couples print their photos.
Your online gallery has an embedded shop where you can choose from an array of gorgeous print products all printed by a high quality professional lab.
What time of day is best?
Golden hour – aka. the best time for photos!
Ok, but what’s golden hour? It happens about one hour before sunset and it’s that time of day when the light goes really golden and honey coloured.
The time for golden hour changes throughout the year but I’ll be checking that when we set a date for your couple session so you don’t need to worry about it.
What should we wear?
It’s up to you!
My best advice is to wear something that you feel beautiful in + comfy footwear.
Neutral colours are great but try to avoid completely white or black tops/tshirts as the camera can sometimes struggle with these depending on the light conditions. A pop of colour can also look nice.
As well as the colours think about the shape of your clothing and how it moves. You can always ask your other half to take a few pics on your phone as you’re walking if you’d like to test it.
Whatever outfit you choose, make sure you’re both wearing a similar vibe. By this I don’t mean to wear matching colours or stripes, but just dress as if you’re both going to the same event whether it’s casual or a little more dressed up.

What if I don't like my photos?
I’ve been there and I know how difficult it can be to find photos of yourself that you like. We’ve been conditioned to be extremely self-critical so it’s no surprise most of us struggle with this.
While I can’t guarantee 100% that you’ll like your photos, I’m very confident you will.
It’s literally my job to take beautiful photos. I’ve been a couple’s photographer for 6+ years and I’ve had a camera in hand since I was 7 years old.
Things like lighting, the right angles and putting people at ease all help with creating flattering photos but it’s also about emotion. When a photograph captures the emotion of the moment it becomes about more than how you look.
I also believe that what we see as our flaws are actually the things that make us shine and wh other people are drawn to us so I hope that by seeing yourself through my eyes you’ll gain a completely new perspective of yourself.
Your gallery will also include plenty of photos for you to choose from but if this is something that really worries you, here are my main tips:
- Book the luxe couple session so that we have more time to get comfortable and create more photos for you to choose from.
- Try to work on your body image issues before your session.
- You don’t need to but if it will help consider doing things that make you feel beautiful before your session. This could be getting your nails done, having your hair cut, doing your make up or things like dancing in your living room or going swimming.

Refunds
You have the right to change your mind within 14 days of purchasing your couple session by emailing me at hello@manonpauffin.com and stating this clearly.
As long as no work has been undertaken I will give you a full refund. If we’ve started organising the session there might be a small service fee to cover the work I’ve done.
