I'm Manon, a destination couples & wedding photographer living on my sailboat in the Mediterranean. I create intimate, natural photos for couples who follow their hearts across Spain, France, Italy, England, Brighton, Valencia, and beyond.
I choose to live a slow life — a privilege I don’t take for granted. This means my availability is limited: I focus on couple photoshoots and take only a handful of weddings each year.
I travel to England a few times annually, and that’s when I open dates for couple photoshoots in Brighton, Seven Sisters, and the Sussex area. If you have a specific date in mind, please get in touch — we might be able to make it work.

I’m an adventurous photographer living on a sailboat in the Mediterranean, creating intimate, natural photos for couples who follow their hearts. I offer couple photoshoots across Spain, France, Italy, England, Brighton, Valencia, and beyond.
Having lived in Brighton for twelve years and with over a decade of experience as a couples and wedding photographer, I know all the best spots and quiet streets for beautiful photos.
My photography is inspired by connection, because I believe that is the answer to life, the universe and everything (yes, I’m a big fan of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy).
My job as a photographer is simple: to bear witness and to capture fleeting moments in time so that they’re never lost.

HOW DOES A BRIGHTON COUPLE PHOTOSHOOT WORK?
What does a Brighton couple session look like?
We’ll spend an hour walking around and taking photos. Easy, right?
I’ll ask you to meet me a little before so we can introduce ourselves and have a little chat before we get started.
You don’t need any special skills or previous experience. All you have to do is focus on each other, I’ll do the rest.
Although I won’t be “posing” you as such, I might give you directions to help you relax and make the most of the background + available light.
The area I choose for your session will most likely be a quieter, residential area with pretty little streets. This is to make sure we make the most of the time we have together.
The first 10 to 15min can feel a bit awkward but once you relax you’ll probably forget I’m even there.
What does a couple session at Seven Sisters usually look like?
For the couple session at Seven Sisters we’ll head to Cuckmere Haven. The session will last around 2.5/3hs depending on the weather, the light and how long it takes us to walk. We’ll need to meet a little earlier than that.
Cuckmere Haven offers different backdrops which will give your photos more variety. Having more time for our session also means we’ll be able to get more creative. Your photos will often be more artistic, natural and in-the-moment.
Although I won’t be “posing” you as such, I’ll give you directions to help you relax and make the most of the background + available light. All you have to do is focus on each other.
Do you photograph LGBTQ+ couples?
Yes, 100 times yes! All couples are welcome!
Feminist, equality and anti-racism are important values for me. I’m not perfect but I aim to be as inclusive as possible in all areas of my business.
How many photos will we get?
Brighton couple session: you’ll get a minimum of 40 to 50 edited photos, maybe more.
Seven Sisters couple session: you’ll get a minimum of 100 edited photos, maybe more.
Can we order prints, frames or albums?
Absolutely! Nothing makes me happier than seeing couples print their photos.
Your online gallery has an embedded shop where you can choose from an array of gorgeous print products all printed by a high quality professional lab.
What time of day is best?
Golden hour – aka. the best time for photos!
Ok, but what’s golden hour? It happens about one hour before sunset and it’s that time of day when the light goes really golden and honey coloured.
As I have limited availability, golden hour is first comes first serve so your photoshoot might be at a different time. That’s ok because I’m used to photographing couples at all sorts of times and in all kinds of weather.
What should we wear?
It’s up to you!
My best advice is to wear something that you feel beautiful in + comfy footwear.
Neutral colours are great but try to avoid completely white or black tops/tshirts as the camera can sometimes struggle with these. A pop of colour can also look nice.
As well as the colours, think about the shape of your clothing and how it moves. You can always ask your other half to take a few pics on your phone as you’re walking if you’d like to test it.
Whatever outfit you choose, make sure you’re both wearing a similar vibe. Ie. dress as if you’re both going to the same event whether it’s casual or a little more dressed up.
What if I don't like my photos?
I’ve been there and I know how difficult it can be. We’ve been conditioned to be extremely self-critical so it’s no surprise most of us struggle with this.
While I can’t guarantee 100% that you’ll like your photos, I’m very confident you will.
It’s literally my job to take beautiful photos. I’ve been a couple’s photographer for nearly 10 years and I’ve had a camera in hand since I was 7 years old.
Things like lighting, the right angles and putting people at ease all help with creating flattering photos but it’s also about emotion. When a photograph captures the emotion of the moment it becomes about more than how you look.
I also believe that what we see as our flaws are actually the things that make us shine and what other people are drawn to us. I hope that by seeing yourself through my eyes you’ll gain a completely new perspective of yourself.
Your gallery will also include plenty of photos for you to choose from but if this is something that really worries you, here are my main tips:
- Book a longer couple session so that we have more time to get comfortable and create more photos for you to choose from.
- Try to work on your body image issues before your session.
- You don’t need to, but if it will help, consider doing things that make you feel beautiful before your session. This could be getting your nails done, having your hair cut, doing your make up or things like dancing in your living room or going swimming.
Refunds
You have the right to change your mind within 14 days of purchasing your couple session by emailing me at hello@manonpauffin.com and stating this clearly.
As long as no work has been undertaken I will give you a full refund. If we’ve started organising the session there might be a small service fee to cover the work I’ve done.
I've paid but haven't received a confirmation email

The first step is to check your spam folder, I end up there sometimes.
You might also want to check your bank statement and make sure the payment has gone through.

What if it's rainy?
In all my years as a couples photographer it’s been very rare that I’ve had to cancel due to the weather.
If it’s a light rain, I’ll ask you to embrace the weather and order some clear plastic umbrellas. I’ve taken some of the most artistic and romantic photos under the rain.
I check the forecast carefully on the lead up to your session. I might get in touch if I think we need to shuffle the start time to improve our chances.
If I can see on the forecast there will be a heavy rain, I might send you a message to reschedule.
